Episode 2: To the Future

After all, I was surrounded by monsters. Anyway, I slipped through the gaps between them. At least quick movements are my specialty.

These monsters are called Force. Just as their name suggests, they always act in groups of four. If I had to say what they resemble, definitely rats.

Force even appeared in my town sometimes. …Wait, hold on, where am I…? Why do I have to get attacked by monsters right after I arrived…!

The one pulling my hand was a boy, maybe a little older than me.

Smooth black hair and clear blue eyes. His outfit was a white cape, a trainer, and jeans. Looking closely, he was ridiculously cool.

The boy let out a small sigh and said to me, “You, okay?”

He said that and sat down with a smile.

“Where exactly are we?”

The boy said,

“This is Laves. It used to be a small, peaceful town.”

I slumped down, and the boy stared at me curiously.

Then he said this.

“If you don’t have anywhere to go, come with me.”
