Episode 1

Takuya was getting fed up.

He went to school as always and attended the same classes as always.

He was sick and tired of such days.

He even thought, wouldn’t it be nice if something exciting happened, or better yet if this whole world just ended.

“Let’s go home, Takuya.”

Hearing a familiar voice, he turned his eyes to the classroom entrance where his friend Akio was standing.

Takuya and Akio were in different classes, but they had been childhood friends since kindergarten.

Takuya gave a small nod and left the classroom.

On the way home, Takuya and Akio chatted about nothing in particular.

As they did so, suddenly the thought he had during the day crossed his mind.

Takuya wanted to know if Akio shared the same thoughts as him.

So, he decided to ask him directly.

“Hey, lately there hasn’t been anything interesting going on, right?”

The reply he got was unexpected.

“Not really, I think. Every day’s pretty fun actually.”

Takuya was surprised. He had hoped, even just a little, that Akio would agree with him.

“I see. Well, if that’s the case then it’s fine.”

“Is there something boring going on for you, Takuya?”

For a moment Takuya almost answered with his true feelings, but he pretended to be calm and said, “No, it’s nothing really.”

“Alright. Well, I’ll head this way, see you tomorrow.”

Parting with Akio, Takuya headed home alone. “Am I really all alone…?”

Takuya had thought that there must be many people who shared the same thoughts as him.

But after the conversation with Akio, he reconsidered that belief.

“I’m home.”

No reply.

At this time, his mother was also out, leaving him alone.

When he got home, with nothing to do, he flopped onto his bed.
