It’s been several months since the duel between Mallow and Gray.

For example, Mallow, AiAi, and Lux ended up forming a band with the name “The Girls of Star”, and their performance was a great success.
Their original song, “Meteor Girl, was very popular.
The video of their performance that was published by AiAi on a video sharing site was able to earn a fair amount of views and likes.
Aside from that, there was an event called “Battle Party”.
It was a battle event, so of course Mallow participated.
Unfortunately, she lost to Bolg in the middle of the event, but Bolg praised her, saying that she had become way stronger than the last time they fought.
Unlike before, Mallow was now able to fight Bolg in a long duration battle.
Bolg was surprised that Mallow’s growth rate was terrifyingly fast.
Thinking that she should be able to defeat Bolg soon, Mallow continued her special training every day.

The two looked at the distance with amazed faces.
The sight in front of them was astonishing.
There was a giant jet-black sphere floating under cloudy weather in the middle of the desert.
There were so many insect-type monsters being produced inside the sphere, and they came out one after another.
That giant sphere was called the “Black Hole”, the main boss of the “World End Quest”.
「From its name, I thought that it would be a monster that could manipulate a powerful gravitational field or something, but it turns out to be just a giant black ball with a lot of insect monsters, huh?」(AiAi)
「But… Can that thing really be defeated?」(Mallow)
「I’m pretty sure it can be defeated, or else, this whole area would literally disappear from the world map.」(AiAi)

Mallow held her favorite battle axe while making a face as if saying, “guess we have no choice then”.
「Do you think we can defeat it?」(AiAi)
「Of course!」(Mallow)
Mallow answered with a smile full of confidence.
「Heh! That’s Mallow for you! Let’s go!」(AiAi)
「Un!」(Mallow)
The two started running toward the Black Hole while raising a war cry.

Author: Hello everyone, I decided to end this series here.
The reason is I found it difficult for me to continue this story.
It’s a little forcible, but I think it’s better than ignoring it.

I know you guys are disappointed. Me too. This is my first translation project and I love it.
I want to see the duel between Mallow and Gray. I want to see how they will defeat the Black Hole. I want to know if Mallow will be able to defeat Bolg or not in the future… But there’s nothing I can do about it.
I was thinking of making up a story myself to continue this series at least until the World End Quest finishes, but on second thought, I decided not to.
Authors have pride in their series and I don’t want to mess with their creations.
The ending sucks but I hope you enjoyed this series.

p.s. II : by the way, the real reason why the author decided not to continue ‘The Lumberjack’ is that they want to focus on drawing fanarts.
You can tell by looking at the drawing of Mallow that they have some skills.

Thanks for the translation. The ending is the “… their adventure continues…” style rather than the final “The end.” style, which I think is perfectly valid.
That said, I also feel a little disappointed that there’s no chapter on her final duel with Grey and the battle against Black Hole.
